Making Big, Messy Data Behave - with the Help of HPC
Our researchers Nenad Mijić, Abhiram Kaushik, Dario Zivkovic and Davor Davidovic have developed a new way to handle one of the trickiest problems in scientific computing: working with huge, unstable datasets that normally break traditional math methods.

From Idea to Drug Candidate: What Happens When Chemistry and HPC Work Together
In the latest research published in Journal of Molecular Structure, we used molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulations (powered by HPC infrastructure) to predict binding to the BRAFV600E protein, conducted biological assays to test anti-proliferative activity across multiple cancer cell lines and evaluated kinase inhibition performance against BRAFV600E.

Targeting BRAFV600E with the Power of HPC
The BRAFV600E mutation plays a key role in several cancers, including melanoma, thyroid, and colorectal cancer.
In the latest paper that was co-authored by Jurica Novak, that's titled: "Pyrimidin-4-bromobenzenesulfonamide/-4-nitrobenzenesulfonamide hybrids as potential BRAFV600E inhibitors: experimental, computational and biological evaluations" a new series of pyrimidine–sulfonamide hybrid molecules where design inspired by existing BRAF inhibitors and with the use of HPC power.
