Participation on The World Science Forum (WSF)

The World Science Forum (WSF) was held in Budapest from November 20 to 23, 2024, bringing together over 1,200 participants from 122 countries. The main theme of the forum was "The Science-Policy Interface in Times of Global Transformations," with a focus on strengthening trust in science and improving collaboration between the scientific community and policymakers to ensure sustainable development and a prosperous future for humanity.

Over four days, participants attended 100 lectures organized into 19 plenary and thematic sessions. Key topics included:

  • Trust in Science: Exploring ways to build and maintain public trust in scientific research and its outcomes.

  • Risk Assessment in Policy and Decision-Making: Analyzing how scientific evidence can inform decision-making processes under conditions of uncertainty.

  • Collaboration and Coordination in Science: Promoting international scientific cooperation to tackle global challenges.

  • Enhancing Scientific Efficiency and Communication: Leveraging modern technologies and platforms to create effective ecosystems for scientific progress.

The forum concluded with the adoption of a declaration emphasizing the need to strengthen trust in science and highlighting the critical role of science in addressing global issues through a comprehensive perspective.
