Annual awards for the best scientific papers in 2024.

The Ruđer Bošković Institute (IRB) has presented its annual awards for the best scientific papers published in 2024, recognizing researchers whose work has appeared in some of the world’s leading scientific journals.
Among this year’s award recipients is Jurica Novak from the Centre for Informatics and Computing at the Ruđer Bošković Institute that has received the award for his paper "Unraveling the Serotonergic Mechanism of Stress-Related Anxiety: Focus on Co-Treatment with Resveratrol and Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors". His recognition highlights the growing importance of interdisciplinary research and advanced computing in modern science, as well as the strong international visibility of Croatian scientific work.
A total of 78 awards were presented during the ceremony held on May 14, 2026, for publications in prestigious journals such as Nature Communications, PNAS, Physical Review Letters, and many others.
The awards continue to showcase the Ruđer Bošković Institute as one of the leading centers of scientific excellence and innovation in Croatia, bringing internationally recognized research closer to the global scientific community.
